I thought I’d share this picture of a quilt that Sis. Ola Graham made for me years ago. It’s called The Drunkard’s Path. There are several different versions of this pattern on Google Images, but I love mine because Sis. Ola made it for me!

The story goes like this.

One night Sis. Ola brought a quilt to church and I oohed and aahed over it. She said the pattern was called The Drunkard’s Path. I asked how much her quilts were and mentioned that I’d love to have one in a blue and white pattern, just those two colors.

Well, a month or so later she came in with my new quilt.

At the time I probably didn’t really have the money to buy a quilt, but I wouldn’t sell it for ANY amount of money now!

We’re having a quilting bee over on my new author page on Facebook, so join us and have some fun out in the cabin in the woods.

God bless and Happy Trails!

I remember my Mom making a lot of quilts using the drunkards path, plus many other patterns. I did one quilt when my kids were little, just a plain 9 patch/9 square, something like that and our TOPS club auctioned it off.

I got more into the crocheting, but don’t do either one or those any more or the embroidery or counted cross-stitch.

Mainly I read, lol, I’m reading your book Stealing Jake on my Kindle Touch, hmmm, wonder where I may have gotten that, and liking the story very much. And I LOVE my Kindle Touch by the way! I read my e-books in the car or at doctor’s offices, etc. so those books don’t get read as fast as my paperbacks. Until I get toward the end and get in a hurry to see what happens, then I start reading them at home too.

I’m not a quilter either. I simply don’t have time to quilt. But my mother loves sewing and quilting.

Whoo-hoo! So glad you’re reading Stealing Jake. I love my Kindle and am debating on getting a Touch.

I like to play word games and can’t figure out how that will work on the Touch.
